Saltmarsh coast
These artworks in acrylic inks on paper are rooted in my explorations of the coastal salt marshes near my home in Norfolk; particularly their changing water levels and mercurial reflections of the deep skies. It is a landscape of tidal creeks, quays, saltings, dykes and mudflats.
The conservation of white space and confident use of media; the layering of colour washes and dynamic use of line; weave the elements together in quiet but powerful imagery. Occasional use of handwritten or collaged texts from my sketchbook notes add an extra dimension to the work.
